UTI Testing & Treatment

At Hidenwood Pharmacy, we offer UTI testing services to help you quickly and conveniently determine if you have a urinary tract infection. Our discreet and efficient testing process allows you to get results in a timely manner, so you can get the treatment you need promptly. Your health and well-being are our top priorities at Hidenwood Pharmacy, and we are here to provide you with the care and support you deserve.

  • Any patient who presents to the pharmacy and meets all of the following criteria:

    • Female patient ≥18 years of age but <65 years, and able to give informed consent;

    • Prior history of UTI(s);

    • One or more of the following symptoms: dysuria, increased frequency, and/or urgency

  • An appointment costs $20, and will include a personalized pharmacist consultation, a thorough lower UTI test, and if needed, antibiotics treatment following a positive result.

    Each appointment is designed to last approximately 30 minutes, ensuring you receive the attention and care you deserve.

  • Per the Virginia Board of Pharmacy, pharmacists are allowed to initiate therapy for patients following a positive UTI test following the established protocols (UTI Protocol.pdf [virginia.gov]). The protocol in place allows for the dispensing of any of the following in the event of a positive test:

    • Oral Cefdinir

    • Oral Cephalexin

    • Oral Nitrofurantoin monohydrate/macrocrystals
